Critter cages and some greatest hits

It has been months, yes, months since we’ve done any truly active yard sale shopping. It may sound sad, but don’t feel bad. Our lack of shopping was the direct result of a summer schedule that filled up too quickly.

Saturday was a real treat. We got out early enough to hit one of the community yard sales and run errands too. It really helped that the weather was great — it seemed like a typical May weekend, not the beginning of the school year.

As for our haul, we didn’t get too much, but liked what we got.

Our favorite purchase of the trip was a set of two "critter cages" for a total of $1. We have a kiddo who just loves capturing animals and keeping them for a day or two. This will help her manage her menagerie.

This sturdy duffel bag was too cute to pass up. It was clean and has a good zipper -- two musts for any bag purchase.

Yes, at some point we have to stop buying CDs, but you get such a good deal on them at yard sales they're tough to resist. This group cost us $10 for the seven albums, but snagged some good stuff -- the "Aladdin" soundtrack, "Living in the 90s" and some classic TV theme songs too.
