Best Bets for Sept. 19-20

There’s slim pickings in the yard sale advertising this week, but we’ll still point out the best bets of the week.

Of course, you’ve got to check the weather first. Our forecasts are suggesting a thunderstorm is possible on Friday. Get the up-to-date details on the weekend weather from our pals at The York Dispatch.


  • YORK: Check out 54 years of accumulation at 3505 Raintree Road. Friday and Saturday.
  • SPHILOH FARMS:Follow Poplars to Farmstead Way just past American Legion. Friday and Saturday.
  • SHILOH: Start your community yard sale experience at 2066 Winding Road. Friday and Saturday.
  • MOUNT WOLF: Check out the sales in the borough. Friday and Saturday.
  • NEAR I-83: Check out the community yard sales at Cantebury and Arsenal roads. Friday and Saturday.
  • WEST YORK: The folks at Lincoln Ridge Apartments, 1 Lark Circle, are planning sales. Friday and Saturday.
  • Did we miss some? Check out the listings!


  • Look for “Occupied Japan” items, paper weights, banks and art at 231 Hill Street. Friday and Saturday
  • St. Paul’s Red Run UCC is hosting its 6th annual yard sale at 6623 Davidsburg Road. They promise more than 20 vendors. Saturday only.
  • A promise of “old military” items will bring some people out to 6287 Thomson Court near the York Airport. Friday and Saturday.
  • Lots of hunting supplies are available at 85 Sunset Dr. in Manchester, Saturday only.
  • The sale at 735 Kelly Drive promises “mugs, mugs, mugs.” Friday and Saturday.
